heating costs

Cut your heating costs with a fan?

Winter is here in the U.S., and I wanted a tip, I started sharing my help reduce heating costs at home. I have ceiling fans in every room was (she asked the builder to add some missing space, before he was with) and a new focus of the fans in the winter. In the summer, I have the fans turning out a way to blow air towards me. It is not really changing the temperature in the room, it's just the air moving past me, I feel just a bit cooler. It allows me to keep the thermostat just a bit higher in the summer. It's not a huge amount, but I have my thermostat is likely to provide additional degrees higher than I, as a rule, but the fans.

So, in winter, how does a fan blowing keep you warm? It depends a bit on the basic high school science. You may remember learning how to "warm air rises." Well, it's all in the space, and what I would do it a bit, get the hot air down on me. As change is the focus of my fan blades, moving blades push air hot air at the top, and force them to come to me and keeps me just as much warmer. Just like in the summer, is there a big difference, but it is enough to let me keep the thermostat a bit lower in the winter. I usually wear too many layers of clothing in the winter anyway, helps me to save even more * energy and reduce my expenses even more * *!

In short, fan is blowing in the summer = cooling capacity. Fan blows up * * = warming winter effect. Repeat increase multiroom save!
